Pioneer gives you yet another reason to take a second look at their NEX lineup — this AVIC-6201NEX package includes the AVIC-6200NEX navigation receiver and Pioneer's ND-BC8 backup camera. You'll have access to top-notch GPS guidance with traffic reports, Bluetooth connectivity, an HD Radio™ tuner, and plenty of sonic enhancements, while the included camera shows you what's happening behind your vehicle on the receiver's 6.2" screen. The receiver boasts Apple CarPlay™ compatibility to please iPhone® users, and it gives Android™ fans plenty of reasons to celebrate, too.
Apple CarPlay brings your apps to your dash
Apple CarPlay compatibility allows a Lightning™-to-USB connection to provide access to select apps on newer iPhones. Once connected, the receiver shows large icons for functions such as Maps, Phone, Messages, Music, Now Playing, and Podcasts. Several streaming apps — including Pandora® — work within the CarPlay interface as well. Drivers can access these functions by touch or through Siri® voice control.
A 6.2" touch display offers plenty of real estate
You'll see everything you need at a glance on Pioneer's info-rich NEX interface, and the intuitive layout makes choosing musical sources a breeze. When you're properly connected, your smartphone's travel-friendly apps will find a good home on the display. It even offers a "Power Off" mode in the source menu for those times when you want a completely dark screen. The receiver's HDMI input means iPhone and Android users both get Pioneer's AppRadio mode for in-dash command of several important apps, and that your phone can more easily be used as an audio or video source.
Included backup camera
Pioneer includes an ND-BC8 rear-view camera with the AVIC-6201NEX package, so you can add safety to your travels right out of the box. You can also connect up to two cameras, so you can see more of what's near your vehicle when getting in and out of tight spots. Need to pull up your rear-view camera in a hurry? A dedicated icon in the source menu gives you instant access.
