Universal trim piece for a special Pioneer stereo
Pioneer designed a unique solution in the DMH-C5500NEX digital multimedia receiver, which consists of a "black box" and a separate 8" touchscreen connected by a proprietary cable. Not surprisingly, your standard double-DIN dash kit won't accommodate this kind of touchscreen. So, Metra worked with Pioneer to provide this trim piece as the finishing touch for a custom installation in any vehicle.
Installation Note: You'll need to cut and modify your dash to install the Pioneer DMH-C5500NEX, but you can use this dash kit to cover the modifications. Keep in mind that you will not be able to reinstall your factory radio after these modifications.
