Steering Wheel Control InterfaceGENERAL FEATURES:
The PAC Swi-RC permits the retention of steering wheel control operations when changing the factory radio. This device works in a variety of cars with an aftermarket head unit that is compatible with OEM steering wheel control. The Swi-RC controls several functions such as mode, track, and volume, and also retains programming even if the battery of the car has been disconnected. Note that cars with the CAN Bus Technology might need an extra PAC CAN Bus Interface.
This fixed-price listing includes the SWI-RC Steering Wheel Control Interface from PAC. The SWI-RC Steering Wheel Control Interface combines the functions of the SWI-JACK and the SWI-PS into a single adapter.

The SWI-RC Steering Wheel Control Interface retains factory steering wheel functions such as volume, mode and track on most Radios.

Important Compatibility Notes:
The aftermarket radio must be equipped with a wired remote input (3.5mm headphone style jack or Blue/Yellow wire) to be compatible (ex. a port or wire on the back of the radio labeled W/R, REM, Wired Remote, Remote, Rem Cont etc.).
Some vehicles broadcast their steering wheel control signal through a dual wire CAN bus and need a module to interpret and convert those signals to analog. This means that in some vehicles, you will require an additional adapter, in order for this Steering Wheel Control Interface to work correctly.

IMPORTANT COMPATIBILITY NOTE: Although this adapter may fit a large variety of vehicles, there are some models that are not compatible with it.
