702 Motoring's Possition on our 6x9 Cut in Lid Kits -
After years of installing and evualating the Rockford Fosgate 6x9 Cut in Kit 702 Motoring made the investment to retool and recreate a kit similiar but different than the standard Rockford Fosgate offering, a few of the changes incorporated into the 702 Motoring Lid Kit design started with a completely different blend of material "Plastic" used in the kit, that change helps prevent the brittleness that may in certain situations cause a cracking or failure on the structure of the lid kit ending usability " Life Span" much sooner than expected or during the install process resulting in cracked mounting bolt locations, another area of concentration is the grill and the design of the holes that our larger in size and preportioned in a way to help aid in creating less restriction for the sound to excape the lid grill assembly providing an overall increase in the sound quality, along with that while other lid kit knock offs may use a very thin and weeker grill that bends and dents very easily that is not the case with our kits in fact the strength and thickness was a very important factor to us in the design phase of our kits, Major Concentration was focused on the lid kits fitment on the factory Harley Lid an area in the past that deserved attention - 702 Motoring answered and we believe our 6x9 Cut in Lid Kits Rate as one on the Highest Quality Kits currently on the market.
